Out of the Past (1947), dir. Jacques Tourneur (Top Left)
Found Photograph c. 1947 (Top Right)
The star on screen lights up, but who can say if the light moves from her or to her from the girl in the snapshot? From star to girl is the distance of air from angels.
The actress is Jane Greer, "the woman with the Mona Lisa smile." Smitten with her looks modeling Women's Army Corps bathing suits in Life Magazine (June 8, 1942), Howard Hughes imported her to Hollywood.
The girl in the snapshot has no name that is known to us.
